Dr. Mahesh Akhegaonkar completed his MBBS from the University of Pune. He thereafter took up post-graduate training in psychiatry at KEM hospital, Pune.
Dr. Akhegaonkar went to the United Kingdom (UK) for further training and successfully got the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych).
He further completed a Diploma in Clinical Psychiatry in the United Kingdom. During his stay abroad Dr. Akhegaonkar worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in various hospitals and has been involved in academic activities.
Since coming back to India Dr. Akhegaonkar has started his private practice and is attached to Shashwat Hospital and Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital.
